“Oasis in the heart of Arizona” Isn’t Arizona just a place filled with cactus, rattlesnakes, and scorpions? Not at all! It is a place that is surprisingly different when you come live here. Phoenix, just like the mythical bird, has risen up from the desert and has grown into a thriving metropolis with a population of 2 million people. There are about 5,000 Japanese and Japanese-American people in the city. Phoenix is also the city where Ichiro came to comfortably spend spring training while he was with the Seattle Mariners and there are many Japanese restaurants here as well.

To anyone who is seeking an “oasis of the heart”, please come to our Japanese Christian church. Everyone is welcome!
